Many people describe life as a journey. In leadership development it is a life time process and then eternity begins. I hope the following post becomes a blessing if you are into leadership. Sometimes we feel we are not called to become a leader, yet it all depends in what context you are called to function. You see everyone is called to a purpose in life. Discovering that purpose is the adventure of our journey.
Here is the post on leadership. I call them the 3 “P’s” of leadership development. The first one is Privilege: John12:26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.
Being a student on leadership I can say with with all confidence that in order to lead you must know how to follow. When the proper time comes to take responsibility to lead, that’s when we must look at at it as a privilege.
God given regardless of who He uses to place you there. If you are a husband you are called to lead your marriage.
How much more if you have children. If you work in the market place and are given a promotion to a position welcome to leadership responsibility! You may be very involved in church ministry if you hold a certain responsibility you are considered a leader.
Regardless of what title or position you hold, if you are a believer you must always remember who has given you the privilege. I often ponder the thought of how much we value the privilege to lead. It is easy to issue a title, many times it is received with such joy. When that title is removed (taken away) only then you realize the value of the privilege you were given. You see it is not the title that makes the leader, it is the privilege to represent that responsibility.
Take heart to whatever God has called you to do. Somewhere in that calling I am 100% sure you will need to exercise leadership. Be blessed as you take your privilege to lead seriously.
